The New Reality
Perhaps through posters, books and movies, we can celebrate heroes, years that have gone by and the memories we left behind. It is important to arrive at a truth where meaning making, pausing and reflecting becomes important. We can recycle the past, we can pop up the past from time to time, the opportunities are plenty.
With the scarcity of time markers and a faster paced life, everything becomes like a giant warp of time. With a series of celebrity deaths, a series of political events and racial strife, elections, accidents – everyone is looking for the next thing to talk about.
We have always tried to structure time dividing the narrative of our lives into months, years and decades. But with the first and second wave of the pandemic, this structure went into a blur.
We are also setting our own reminders and trying to attain full control and perfect balance of sleep, relaxation and work to manage our energies and maintain deadlines instead of managing time, since there is no fixed work schedule anymore.
Technology is our toothfairy
Who with her wand of AI is recycling our past and helping us resolve time blur. Therefore we wake up to mornings where savouring memories are becoming conversation topics over coffee.
